Marcia Rasmussen, Town Planner, stated that parking restrictions are in place on Alden, Anson and Plainfield Roads. These signs will improve neighborhood safety and discourage visitors from swimming illegally.
From the Concord Journal: The no-swimming signs that pertain to town-owned land at the pond are just one of several measures approved by the Select Board last month to prevent erosion along pond trails and banks. Other measures include parking restrictions, and a requirement that dogs must be on a leash at all times. Please see this link for the complete news article.
 This "no public swimming" sign erected on Dover St. a private way, was defaced within 24 hours of being installed. The letters N and O were quickly removed. Later the sign was taken down by town officials. |  The town replaced the first sign with this one which is very difficult for anyone driving or walking by to read. |
